I interviewed
From being in Japan I would agree that pizza in the US is cheaper. It was rare that I ate or saw others eating pizza. It seemed more like a special occasion food than a common meal. When I got back to the US the first food I bought was a Pizza Hut stuffed crust pizza! A college student's spring and summer break sounds pretty similar to a US college student's. I usually work over the summer and study very little if at all and I think this is common for US students. Spring break though is only a week and a lot of students in the US will go somewhere warm to celebrate spring break rather than working.
In the US college students tend to eat poorly. There is the stereotype (though somewhat accurate) about living off of ramen, pizza, and burgers. I wonder what foods, if any, are associated with Japanese college students.

Many Japanese college students take advantage of their long spring break and go overseas to travel.
ReplyDeleteSimilar to the US college students, Japanese colleges students often live off instant ramen noodles, コンビニ弁当etc...
Honestly myself, I'd prefer not to have to live on instant food to survive. Regular food is usually so much better.
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting that Pizza isn't as common over there, and more expensive. I wonder why?
